About the Opportunity:

GSG is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Management, business and technology partners to jointly identify needs required to deliver the next generation of solutions.
• Conduct interviews with a broad audience to define data requirements. Translate conceptual requirements into technical requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
• Develop and communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally and through written documentation – to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
• Write and execute data quality checks to:
  • Ensure that all and only the expected records appear
  • Ensure that calculated values are correct
  • Ensure that abnormal/edge cases are handled as expected
  • Ensure that all values fall within expected range
• Check null value handling, etc.
• Communicate standard calculation logic and business term definition
• Establish best practices and data quality rules benefiting all aspects of the business.

Requirements:

• BA in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering required.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with background in wealth management.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis and/or data quality.
• Understanding of traditional and alternative asset class investment data, including but not limited to equity, fixed income, private equity, real estate, derivatives, mutual funds, ETFs, global assets, foreign exchange, etc.
• Experience with process flows and break points.
• Asset Management & Investment Management experience required.
• Knowledge of the investment lifecycle.
• Experience using JIRA boards, Confluence, etc.
• Familiarity with the Agile environment/experience working in Agile.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills – ability to quickly analyze data to identify key insights and apply them to the business.
• Focus on development/ improvement of data to support continuous.
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to present effectively to both business and technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
• Strong orientation to clients, including demonstrated ability to understand needs and apply this knowledge to drive data enhancements.
• Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; is a team player and encourages collaboration.
