As a Business Development Director in the cybersecurity artificial intelligence practice, this role will be focused on developing the ecosystem strategy for cybersecurity artificial intelligence capabilities, recruiting partners and developing deal structures that benefit global organizations. This opportunity will allow you to learn about Microsoft’s robust breadth and depth of end cybersecurity offerings and apply your knowledge of artificial intelligence to accelerate global organization’s cybersecurity modernization strategy.

Ideally this role will be based in Redmond WA. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
- You will provide industry expertise to engineering and product decision makers across multiple lines of business. You’ll also drive large-scale initiatives by developing solutions for multiple lines of business and influencing their product roadmap.
- You will steer business value propositions, as well as drive strategy across multiple products/industries while promoting the value of partnership opportunities. You’ll also anticipate our value proposition versus competitors while establishing future collaborative opportunities.
- You will seek out partnership opportunities that target high-priority gaps in products, industries, or accounts, using data trends to maximize opportunities across deals. You’ll also develop overarching strategies for partner ecosystem development and pipelines.
- You will represent Microsoft by leading deal opportunities across each stage, determining the deal structure for complex solutions, and resolving any issues. You’ll also implement strategic engagement models for the largest customers and partners.
- You will execute plans for managing deals by using targeted strategies, and by implementing communications and reporting. You’ll also develop post-deal governance, oversee the creation and implementation of execution plans across a portfolio of deals, and work with complex customers and partners to create market-changing business value.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related field AND 10+ years relevant work experience (e.g., investment banking, consulting, finance, corporate strategy, venture capital, legal, business development, product management, project management, software development)
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a complex, matrix environment.
- Experience working with partners and ecosystem relationships.
- Experience working in the artificial intelligence and/or machine learning fields.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Master's/Advanced Degree in Business, Sciences, or related field and 12+ years relevant work experience (e.g., investment banking, consulting, finance, corporate strategy, venture capital, legal, business development, product management, project management, software development)
- 10+ years experience in the technology industry and/or in a technical role (e.g., cloud platforms, digital transformation, capabilities, solutions).
- Experience working with AI/ML applications in cybersecurity.
Business Development IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $264,000 per year.
