Up to $7,500 sign on bonus
Assists with cardiac invasive procedures in the Cardiovascular Cath Lab (CVCL) by calibrating equipment, preparing supplies, devices and instruments for the procedure including patient preparation, as well as monitoring and operating all devices during and after the procedure. Assists with the collection of diagnostic date during the procedures. Maintains an electronically and radiologic safe environment in the CVCL. Assists with the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of patient care under the supervision of the physician in the CVCL to promote safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care. Assists in the provision of care to adult and geriatric patients.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of an Invasive Cardiovascular Specialty Program with Certification/Registry (RCIS) in the field and/or licensed as a Radiographer or Certified/Registered as a Respiratory Therapist with experience or specialty certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
2. Experience: 1 year current Cardiovascular Lab experience.
3. Knowledge and Abilities:
a. Demonstrates knowledge and skill in Cardiovascular Lab theory and practice.
b. Demonstrates good leadership and communication skills, flexibility and creativity.
c. Demonstrates a philosophy of continuous quality improvement and commitment to clinical excellence.
d. Maintains and develops knowledge and personal growth by attending workshops/in-services to maintain licensure and/or certifications.
4. Registration, Certification or Licensure Requirement: Current Ohio Radiographer License or, Certification/Registration as a Respiratory Therapist, and/or Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialty Certification; Basic Life Support; Advanced Life Support.
