DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The primary responsibilities of this position include receiving, reviewing, verifying results, and issuing clearance verification for Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR). You will decide the proper course of action for applications not meeting the criteria and ensuring that applicants receive timely responses, referring complex issues to a supervisor/manager for decision. You will inform callers of necessary action steps when inquiring about clearance verifications/determinations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, with 1-hour lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework). Training is three (3) days per week in the office for three (3) months, followed by in the office one (1) week every six (6) weeks. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: The starting salary is non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Necessary Special Requirement :
  • This position requires keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
