Now to get to some of the specifics of a Client Account Manager and the critical role it plays in our organization!

What does this role entail?

The Client Account Manager is one of the most critical roles in our organization as you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our customers are regularly engaged with LMJ Consulting, happy with our services, and increasing the level at which we are providing indispensable value as a key partner to their company. You will be the communication bridge between the client’s leadership and our technical team to make sure IT resources are being applied and planned appropriately; this includes working with the client’s leadership to form technology strategies that line up with their business objectives as well as create short- and long-term roadmaps to meet those objectives. You’ll offer guidance for clients in their financial planning, business systems, and technical requirements. You also aren’t afraid to do the “dirty” work; you’ll be responsible for tracking your activity notes with clients, managing service renewal calendars, and keeping on top of a daily/weekly/monthly communications calendar with your clients. Overall, you will play key role for client success and spend much of your time in front of clients exploring how LMJ can better provide indispensable business value.

Things you’ll do a lot of:

  • Hold regular Business Technology Review meetings with clients, both in-person and remotely (audio/video conferencing). These regular business technology reviews will consist of:
  • Working with client leadership to plan a comprehensive IT strategic vision addressing needs associated with their business goals
  • Develop, write, and present a Technology Roadmap document that includes short- and long-term budget and technology planning
  • Asset Management Review
  • Service Ticket Reviews
  • Build and distribute appropriate reports to clients as needed.
  • Field questions and inquiries from clients with incredible responsiveness and valuable insight.
  • Identify ways that LMJ Consulting can provide other services as it fits within the client’s needs.
  • Work with LMJ technical team members to design solutions, create sales proposals, present proposals, and successfully close sales opportunities.
  • Encourage and manage a growing referral network from happy clients.
  • Regularly meet and collaborate with the Sales Manager, Sales Team, Service Manager, and Service Coordinator to communicate client feedback and needs and formulate solutions to meet those needs.
  • Actively participate and take a leading role in periodic marketing events such as Lunch & Learns, Client Appreciation Events, and other various conference/speaking opportunities.
  • Develop exemplary relationships with clients while providing indispensable value to their entire organization.
  • Assist and mentor other Client Account Managers as needed.
  • Actively participate in personal and professional growth and development.
  • Actively collaborate with all LMJ Consulting team members and suggest ways to better operate and develop as an organization while taking a leading role as a servant leader in its execution.
  • Keep up to date with leading technology and business trends, including making recommendations to clients (and LMJ) on implementing them.

Some of your qualification might include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree, or Equivalent Experience
  • 2-5 years of IT experience, may or may not include sales consulting, service, or support with client-facing responsibilities
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and driving customer satisfaction
  • Understanding of, interest in, and passion for technology and current industry trends
  • Absolutely solid written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and productively without constant supervision
  • Demonstrable strengths in project and process management
  • A true intellectual curiosity, a desire to constantly improve client and company outcomes, and a collaborative team attitude
