In the Technology & Data Compliance role (which is inside the Legal department) you’ll leverage your technical and project management experience, along with strong communication skills, to support the governance and operations of the ONE Gas’ technology and data compliance programs. This position is a hybrid role with some remote work available during the week.

Successful candidates will have 1-3 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, compliance, legal, or audit, as well as experience conducting business process audits and/or coordinating third-party assessments of the program.

What You Will Do

Research new and/or changing regulations, directives, statues, and/or laws and evaluate impact to current compliance program elements.

Develop analysis and recommendations for technology compliance across the Enterprise for management consideration.

Support compliance process owners by helping to translate compliance requirements and drivers to support IT/Cybersecurity controls and procedures.

Lead compliance review projects including identification of measures met, improvement opportunities, and/or failures. Monitor and track the progress of remediation efforts performed by stakeholders.

Collaborate with IT compliance process owners to assure that measured goals are accomplished and maintained, and report on progress to leadership.

Facilitate working sessions with partners. Collaborate through open communication, identify and resolve potential issues, and meet target completion timelines. Escalate complex issues and proposed solutions to cross-functional leadership.

Develop program-level plans that describe initiatives, projects, activities, and/or tasks that meet the requirements of compliance drivers from internal and/or external sources. Contribute to the scope definition and level of effort estimation as needed by the compliance owner.

Facilitate continuous improvement of compliance requirements in response to internal and/or external drivers.

Present compliance findings to stakeholders and team members.

What You Will Need

Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Cyber Security, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience:

  • Experience in data privacy or governance, audit, compliance, information technology, cybersecurity, issue and risk management, and/or governmental/military contracts.

  • Experience managing projects, perform assessments, particularly in client technologies, networking, application development, and commercial off-the-shelf solutions.

  • Experience with identifying, researching, evaluating and prioritizing issues or specific situations and coordinating appropriate action/response.

Previous experience developing metrics, measures, and scorecards for management and executive leadership.

Ability to write reports and preparing documentation of activities and/or findings.

Previous experience in reading and interpreting audit results, governmental regulations, policies and procedures, publications, manuals, contracts and correspondence.

Previous experience in developing and presenting information to individuals and groups.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs to include Excel, Word, Power Point, and Visio.

Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively.

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Minimum Applicable driver's license

Preferred Project Management Professional Certification

Preferred Certified Information System Auditor (CISA)

Mobility to travel in and around office facilities.

Communicate and/or exchange information verbally.

Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
