Position Overview
Autodesk’s award-winning Content & SEO team is looking for an experienced editor and production powerhouse to help scale SEO-optimized content globally, as well as establish and implement content platforms and processes across Autodesk’s marketing organization. The Content Planning & Operations Manager will be a key member of a global team that supports the scaling and measurement of audience-centric content across personas and stages of the customer lifecycle.
With deep editorial-production savvy and the project-management skills to keep content operations optimized and on track, the ideal candidate will hit the ground running as the team’s primary production and localization editor, ensuring planned content is SEO optimized and published on time and without errors—and in the priority languages aligning to Autodesk’s business strategy. The candidate will also bring these skills to bear in helping to establish and evangelize a content-marketing platform that unifies and brings transparency to the content production efforts across Autodesk marketing, from initial planning through delivery and publishing.
Success in this role requires a solid grasp of editorial best practices, project management, and content performance measurement. In addition, this role should possess a curiosity about industries relevant to Autodesk, including architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and media and entertainment. This role is English-focused but requires collaborating with a global team and supporting editorial operations and localization efforts to scale content production across geos.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with global content leads to align on content-production needs and timelines
  • Prepare content for publication via browser-based content management systems
  • Manage localization processes and vendors for content across multiple languages
  • Monitor global editorial schedules and manage content planning and production calendar to ensure deadlines are met
  • Track content budgets and manage invoicing for freelance writers, editors, designers, and other vendors as needed
  • Ensure final content assets are tagged appropriately for performance measurement, catalogued, and uploaded or published in final destinations such as the Autodesk website, DAM, etc
  • Serve as Content & SEO liaison to others within Autodesk who request use of team content in campaigns, tools, etc
  • Evangelize editorial processes and tools to support content team needs across Autodesk marketing
  • Work with content producers to identify and adopt best-in-class tools, processes, and standards
  • Provide editorial and content operations support for the greater Content & SEO team as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years proven writing and editorial experience in journalism, marketing, or communications
  • Proven use of content management systems required; experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) a strong plus
  • Skilled management of editorial and/or workflow-production schedules
  • Experience managing freelancer schedules and budgets
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, time-management abilities
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize according to urgency and/or business need
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills
  • This role requires a blend of editorial, marketing, and operational experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Willingness to engage in both strategic and tactical work as business needs dictate
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-driven attitude; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting to leadership
  • Familiarity with content marketing platforms (CMPs) a very strong plus
