Description
Our goal at SeaQuest is to ensure guests have a one-of-a-kind experience interacting with animals from all over the world. We are looking for a reliable team member to assist us in preparing statements under the supervision of a controller and CFO. A Controller has good knowledge of accounting principles. You must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively. Assist in process development for our growing company. The goal is to contribute to keep the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. You will report to a financial controller.
The Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Assist in process development for our growing company
  • Support all aspects of accounting management (accounts payables, reconciliations, sub-ledger maintenance, etc.)
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements
  • Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
  • Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
  • Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records
  • Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts
  • Participate in preparation for the annual audit
  • Pay depends on experience

Requirements:
  • BSc/BA in accounting and/or finance
  • 1-3 years industry experience
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Enterprise level accounting software platforms
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
