Zoom Room, the area's premier indoor dog training facility, is seeking a passionate dog lover to join our team.
If hired, you will start at the Front Desk learning the Zoom Room methods and familiarizing yourself with our classes, policies, and procedures. Professional dog training experience is NOT required, but you must have had experience training your own dog, using force-free, positive reinforcement training methods.
We use positive reinforcement training only and offer group classes and private lessons in obedience, agility, puppy training, enrichment classes and workshops, as well as behavioral problems such as leash reactivity, house training, crate training, and nuisance behaviors (jumping, biting, barking, etc). Our motto is: "We don't train dogs. We train the people who love them." So when we look for new employees, we're really focused on those with excellent people skills - great, articulate communicators. We also prefer applicants who deeply care about making a difference in the community as the many of our clients have newly rescued dogs from shelters.
In addition to teaching dog training classes and lessons, trainers will work customer service shifts.
REQUIRED:
-Experience training your own dogs using force -free positive reinforcement training methods.
-The ability to communicate effectively to people of all ages and backgrounds.
- The energy, confidence, patience, and likeability to teach small groups of people in a classroom setting.
-Must be able to move and adjust heavy agility equipment (up to 50lbs), and be flexible enough to bend down easily to work with small dogs and puppies.
-The ability to be scheduled nights, weekends, and holidays. (We will be open 7 days a week until 9pm. We close on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, and New Year’s Day)
-Must be able to use a computer to complete online training.
-Must have access to and be knowledgeable in social media platforms (primarily Facebook and Instagram)
-Once the Trainer program begins (online training course, series of webinars, and hands-on training program), you will be required to sign a “Non-Disclosure and Non-Competition” agreement stating that you will not reveal proprietary information, or train at another facility (or as a private individual) while employed with Zoom Room, and for 2 years thereafter.
DESIRED:
-Retail sales experience
-Experience using Apple products (Mac desktop computer, iPad)

About Zoom Room Dog Training:
The Zoom Room's indoor dog training gym provides a safe, indoor space for dogs and puppies to receive socialization and training alongside their owners. Using only positive training methods, we help people deepen the bonds of communication with their pups through obedience, agility, and enrichment classes. We regularly give back to local rescues through direct donations and fundraiser events that we host ourselves, such as Doggy Disco nights (yes, we have a disco ball!). It's a wonderful environment for dog lovers - both our clients and our staff - with fair trade coffee, great music, and a beautifully strong community. Our motto is: "We don't train dogs. We train the people who love them."
