Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for reporting, data analysis, and supporting member facing technology products throughout Summit Credit Union.
Reporting and data analysis will include, but is not limited to data gathering, data validation, and data presentation to various staff, departments, or branches throughout Summit Credit Union.
Supporting member facing technology includes home banking, the mobile app, phone system, and other software applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Creates, modifies, and supports reporting throughout the Credit Union. This will be done utilizing multiple report writing tools, software applications, tables, charts, graphs, etc.
2. Ensures reports meet the needs of the end user by providing data that is accurate, timely relevant, and presented in a meaningful way.
3. Responsible for updating, validating, and exporting data for use internally and externally. Data needed may include, but is not limited to, regulatory reporting, decision making, marketing needs, trend/variance analysis, and quality control.
4. Assist in ownership of Credit Union technology such as, but not limited to, home banking, mobile app, and document management products by working with the vendors to help identify and coordinate new features and/or enhancements. Reviews technical release notes for enhancement opportunities.
5. Ensures assigned project work is progressing within guidelines and is completed on time, communicating project related progress and issues throughout the process.
6. Able to attend vendor conferences, workshops, and meetings as needed or required. Upon completion of the event be able to provide a summary of the materials discussed, next steps if applicable, or follow up action plans.
7. Contributes to the design, editing, testing, and quality of all member facing technology and services.
8. May be called upon to support IT Department as needed with tickets and projects.
9. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
10. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
  • Two- or Four- year degree is preferred. Degree is preferably in IT, Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 2- years’ experience, preferably in a credit union or financial institution.
  • Or combination of experience and education.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence that is intelligible and grammatically correct. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a proficient knowledge of: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook. Experience with or ability to learn other software platforms is critical.

  • Valid driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
