Job Title: Data Center Services - Command Center

Location: Columbus, OH

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Data Center Services - Command Center professional. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and continuous monitoring of our data center infrastructure. Your expertise in IBM Netcool, Mainframe OPC, and TCP/IP protocols will be essential in maintaining optimal performance and responding to any incidents or issues that may arise. This position requires 24X7 onsite coverage to ensure uninterrupted services.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the data center infrastructure using IBM Netcool, Mainframe OPC, and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of critical systems and services.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any incidents or disruptions to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct regular system health checks and performance monitoring to identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
  • Follow established procedures for incident management, escalation, and resolution.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and resolutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely response and resolution to critical issues.
  • Continuously stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to data center services.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in a command center or similar environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in using IBM Netcool, Mainframe OPC, and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Knowledge of data center operations, infrastructure components, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with incident management processes and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Availability to work in a 24X7 onsite coverage environment.
  • Certification or training in data center operations or related areas is a plus.
