Rainbow Child Development Center in Flushing is an English and Chinese bilingual preschool. It's currently looking for a qualified assistant director . The right candidate should have strong organization skills, motivated, can think independently, good communication skills in both English and Chinese. Having hands on experience in education field is a plus. We will train for this position.

The position is a full-time position where you will be under the supervision of directors. We are looking for a candidate who is hard working, punctual and a team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AN DIRECTOR ASSISTANT:

• Work with Directors to maintain day to day operation of the daycare
• Greet and converse with teachers and parents to build trusted relationships (Mandarin, Chinese required)
• Provide professional support for the teachers and identifies staff training needs.
• Screen and prequalify students for program eligibility
• Confidently make on the fly scheduling decisions to direct teachers where to go.
• Understands Child Care Licensing requirements ensuring the school's compliance.
• Control variable costs including payroll and supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
