J.P. Morgan's newly formed Payments & Commerce Solutions clients are adopting new selling models as their customer base shifts online and expands into new markets. Alongside traditional payment acceptance and settlement methods, counterparty payments are extending to include new real-time, card and digital wallet rails. Between the pay-ins and pay-outs, clients have an opportunity to automate reconciliation, manage funds and coordinate intelligent settlement, while also unlocking considerable customer insights. And with APIs, connections are real-time, directly linking into clients' internal systems and customer-facing portals.

J.P. Morgan Payments & Commerce Solutions encompasses delivery of integrated capabilities from across Payments, with the team currently enjoying considerable expansion. Our comprehensive banking capabilities, global reach and innovative growth agenda continue to differentiate us versus banking and FinTech competitors. At J.P. Morgan we help our clients to manage their payments ecosystem anywhere in the world, in any currency, using any method of payment. Our vision for Payment Hub Services is a further step in that direction, encompassing J.P. Morgan Wallet, Payment Hub Core Services, Entity Validation and Digital Onboarding Services.

J.P. Morgan Wallet is a new offering. Initial Client trials are under way. Significant enhancement and geographic expansion is planned over the next several years.

At its core J.P. Morgan Wallet is a massively scalable virtual accounting enabled settlement solution. J.P. Morgan Clients who subscribe to Wallet services can establish any number of virtual accounts and associate these with their customers, suppliers and own GL accounts. They instruct Wallet to record amounts owed to or by these parties and to settle these amounts. Settlement methods supported include real time payments, ACH (i.e. low value payments), wire transfers, push to debit and push to third party wallets. They also include instant virtual account to virtual account transfers.

Primary Client use cases include gig economy payments, eCommerce marketplace seller settlement, franchise settlement, escrow, rewards and loyalty.

About the Multi-Party Commerce Seller Payout Product Management Team

The Integrated Product Delivery Team manages delivery of J.P. Morgan Wallet, Onboarding & Risk Services, and Managed Payout Solutions products end to end. It is responsible for market analysis and requirements definition. It authors Client Journey's and illustrates these though use cases. It manages the development backlog. It partners closely with the technology and testing teams responsible for building and enhancing the J.P. Morgan systems via which the service is delivered. It also partners with the operations and service teams who face of to our customers and the legal, risk, compliance and finance business partners who support the initiative .

We are in the process of expanding the J.P. Morgan Product Management and Development team. We are adding Product Managers, Product Owners, Project Managers and Scrum Masters. These new team members will join an already sizeable team of talented and committed professionals.

About the Integrated Product Delivery Manager

This position is for an Integrated Product Delivery Manager.

The Integrated Product Delivery Manager along with the respective Product Management Head, Product owners and the Program Managers will comprise the Wallet Product Management leadership team. The Product Delivery Manager will act as the team's primary liaison to the product technology and testing teams

The Integrated Product Delivery Manager will manage a team of four to six Product Owners. These Product Owners, along with Application Development Leads and Scrum Masters each lead and manage one of the Agile feature teams responsible managing systems development, integration and testing.

The Integrated Product Delivery Manager will work with and direct the Product Owners to ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery. They will be responsible for ensuring that the requirements provided by the Feature Owners and other stakeholders are fully documented and understood by the feature teams. They will oversee the Product Owners efforts to create epics with discrete demo goals, author stories with acceptance criteria, ensure Agile best practices are followed and that stories meet the agreed definition of done.

This role is suited to an individual with a deep understanding of and passion for new product development, the ability to lead and the patience to teach. The top candidate will have exposure to functional leaders across the business.

The position may require travel.

Job responsibilities

  • Member of Product Management leadership team representing Product Delivery
  • Manage our integrated product roadmap and socialize with key stakeholders; Manage the four to six Feature Team Product Owners which comprise the Product Delivery Team
  • Identify top use cases and manage prioritization of features and capabilities
  • Create and manage global vendor/partner framework and engagements
  • Further all commercialization and ready-to-launch activities; Primary liaison to our Technology and Testing teams
  • Establish and manage product governance to maintain product design principles, support vendor/partnership decisions and optimize investments; Manage a team responsible for developing and documenting product requirements, customer user journeys and supporting technology development through end-to-end product lifecycle
  • Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders across different functions (e.g., Legal, Risk, Compliance Operations, Technology etc.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Minimum 15 years of Product Development experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years in leadership position managing team responsible for Product Development, including operational readiness, service readiness, successful roll out to market
  • Experience in managing multiple Agile feature team(s) & product owner(s)
  • Demonstrated ability to author and groom stories
  • Wholesale payments, emerging and/or stored value product management experience preferred.
  • Project management & Business analysis
  • Bachelor's degree; Accounting degree, certification or experience a plus

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to motivate and propel product features translating to agile execution. Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with a keen eye for details. Oral and written communications; Analytical skills and attention to detail in written documentation.
  • Organizational and time management skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Very strong in agile methodology, measurements, relentless continuous improvement; Experience using JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint
