Job Description:

The International Digital Marketing, Brand Activation and Partnerships Director is responsible for leveraging digital channels including paid media and partnerships portfolios to effectively target, communicate with and drive SMB growth in priority international markets. This Director leads the strategy, development, execution, measurement, and impact of full-funnel digital marketing and communications including creative production, brand activation, paid media (e.g. paid social, programmatic and paid search), urgent communications, and partnerships programs. Additionally, the Director leads the strategy of digital advertising and partnerships programs, the development and definition of program KPIs, resourcing, staffing allocation, budget, associated program communications and execution of quality programs against UPS business and marketing plan objectives. Success in this role is dependent on key stakeholder relationships which the Director builds, maintains and grows across internal business units, Region and country teams, as well as external agencies to ensure collaboration, alignment, and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • He/She executes the strategy and leads the development of a fully integrated digital marketing, brand activation, sponsorships/partnerships and communications plan to drive international business results from corporate advertising and partnership investments
  • Responsible for ensuring consistency and accuracy of messages (including digital marketing and urgent communications), audience strategy and targeting, leading the creative process, ensuring the execution of campaigns against approved budgets, and delivering campaign results against key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develops global sponsorships/partnerships strategies in alignment with corporate, region, or business unit goals to achieve business results
  • Leads key relationships for UPS across internal stakeholders (including but not limited to business unit teams, Regional/country teams, content teams, and brand management), agencies, partnership / sponsorship partners, and actively manages complex, multi-year contracts
  • Responsible for leading and developing a team to support creative work, brand activation planning and execution, paid media execution and analysis and reporting, and budgeting/invoicing for the campaigns
  • Supports stakeholders to build and refine briefs, strategy, and approach
  • Creates annual plans including objectives, competitive analysis, audience definition, tactics, resources, timeline, budget and deliverables) to set expectations and guide plan execution
  • Leads the development of strategic partnership activation plans, digital media programs and solutions which deliver results based on the targeted KPIs

  • Experience working within and/or managing oversight of advertising or digital/social agencies including creative production and paid media – Preferred
  • Demonstrates an understanding of digital marketing technology and creative development process - Preferred
  • Master's degree in Advertising, Communications, Marketing or a related field – Preferred.

Basic Qualifiers

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Communications, Marketing or a related field
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience in related areas of advertising, sponsorships / partnerships., digital marketing and brand marketing
  • Demonstrates an understanding of digital analytics including audience, targeting and ROI/ROAS calculations
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environment and change management.
  • Excellent time management, resource management, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
