Director, Global Brand Planning Disney

Reports To - VP Global Brand Planning and Management

This role is responsible for the analysis and understanding of franchise health globally, driving franchise development and growth strategies through leadership, vision, creativity, commerciality and an expertise in brand and franchise management. The role will work in partnership with the Global Brand Commercialization teams (Category, Marketing, Retail, Creative, Product Development and Finance), driving integrated franchise strategies across Licensing, Owned & Operated, Publishing and Games.

You will operate transparently and seamlessly, approaching franchise growth through a global lens, enabling the business across regions whilst maintaining sensitivity and flexibility to local-level cultures, market conditions and/or team dynamics. In addition, they will lead the communication and mobilization of brand plans, internally and externally, championing alignment and execution, driving and supporting implementation across the business. They will also partner closely with the marketing team to develop and deploy effective activities to support the overall brand strategies and initiatives.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

  • Identify category, market, licensee and audience opportunities for growth to deliver franchise objectives and collaborate on growth target

  • In partnership with Vice President, Global Brand Planning and Management (Disney, Pixar), drive development of integrated franchise strategies and brand expansion efforts globally

  • Collaborate with regional teams to drive the adoption and implementation of the global strategy

  • Influence outcomes and building relationships both internally and externally

  • Build a vision for the brand with a strong operational lens

The Experience We Require From You:

  • Deep understanding of franchise and/or licensing in retail

  • Strong operational and commercial sensibility

  • Experience of operating in a multi-market role in a global organization

  • Track record of innovation in a relevant field or role

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or master’s level education in a related field or equivalent
