The Director of Enterprise Data, Analytics and Visualization will bring a rich background in data analysis, data insights data automation, and visualization and will be accountable for delivering consistently accurate, precise, and quantitative and qualitative analyses. You will be partnering with a diverse set of stakeholders to implement a data vision and strategy for a high growth organization. The Director role is responsible for leveraging our large healthcare data set to identify and evaluate growth opportunities for current and prospective clients, evaluate effectiveness and impact of a highly integrated pharmacy care team as well as pairing clinical and non-clinical data for enriched insights for future programs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
  • Serve as the principal business partner and architect for the Enterprise Data, Analytics and Visualization functions
  • Provide a vision and strategy for Enterprise Data and Analytics capabilities and data culture, and then execute on that strategy
  • Build an Enterprise Data and Analytics capability and a team consisting of analysts, architects, data scientists, developers, and database experts
  • Act as an internal advisor to align processes and systems capabilities with good practice
  • Propose transformative technology based on cost-benefit analysis and the need to address key capabilities that align with the business strategy and requirements
  • Manage employees and contractor staff assigned to the Enterprise Data, Analytics & Visualization function
  • Ensure attainment of service level and systems reliability metrics
  • Lead systems and vendor evaluation efforts for supported functions
  • Accountable for the design, engineering, security, compliance, release management, governance, financial management, product roadmap, and service / operational oversight of data visualization platforms
  • Relationship management and oversight of external partners / technology suppliers (including software license, solution providers, and cloud hosting agreements)
  • Financial management of platform infrastructure, software, and service providers
  • Lead enterprise-wide data visualization technical oversight and mentorship for geographically dispersed colleagues and contracted team members
  • Foster an engineering culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the operations of enterprise data visualization platforms that may include Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI, and possible future investments environments globally
  • Automate operation, installation, and monitoring of the data visualization platform components in our infrastructure stack
  • Manage and resolve critical support issues with a high degree of technical complexity
  • Ensure document knowledge in the form of incident notes, technical articles, and contributions to knowledge bases or forums within specific areas of expertise
  • Measure and monitor service and support performance and health (SLAs, KPIs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams on platform lifecycle management
  • Develop and maintain operational policies and training for support team member
  • Lead the strategy and discussions with key internal/external stakeholders, and make recommendations on how best to leverage machine learning and advanced analytic methods to support business outcomes.
  • Provide expertise in modeling & statistical approaches (machine learning methods ranging from regression methods, decision trees, deep learning, NLP techniques, uplift modeling; statistical modeling such as multivariate techniques)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in data science and quantitative field like Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering etc. Master's Degree or PhD preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Coursework or work experience writing statistical and/or optimization programs to develop models and algorithms. Programming languages may include-but are not limited to-Python, R, SQL, Java, SAS, and MATLAB.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 7+ years' experience in data science/analysis, BI, or other related field with at least two years of pharmacy/healthcare data analysis experience and at least 2 years managing people
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making by non-analytical business audiences
  • Experience with big data emerging technologies
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (like Azure, AWS etc.)
  • Proficient in analytical methods, statistical modeling, and data visualization techniques
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with healthcare and/or pharmacy data strongly preferred
  • Innovative and proactive mindset
  • Flexibility to wear several hats, ranging from strategy to hands-on systems work as needed
  • Systems integrations knowledge and experience
  • Experience building data insights capabilities based on a combination of third-party market intelligence data and corporate opportunity and sales data
  • Experience in cleaning and transforming data for machine learning, or managing teams who have
  • Knowledge of relational databases, distributed computing environments, Scripting languages, and statistical computing packages, including R, Python, Hadoop, Spark, AWS and Oracle
  • Deep intellectual curiosity to explore new methods and learn new techniques outside one's own expertise.
