The Pre-K Assistant Teacher will play an integral role in the success of our center by serving as a positive role model as well as creating meaningful relationships and being a supportive resource for our students, families and their team.
Requirements:
- Valid Paraprofessional Certificate (issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission)
- Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (issued by the Council for Professional Recognition)
- TCC (Technical Certificate of Credit) in Early Childhood Education TCD (Technical College Diploma) in Early Childhood Education
- AA, AS, AAS, AAT (Associate Degree) or BA, BS (Bachelor Degree) Georgia Teaching Certificate (issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission)
- Knowledge of GA Pre-K requirements, and GA Dept. of Early Care and Learning Requirements
- Ability to determine and prioritize demanding workload while being flexible to
- emergent/unplanned needs and situations
- Knowledge of, and experience with, group dynamics, facilitation and collaboration
- Ability to interpret, apply, and audit various policies, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion in all staff, child and family interactions
- Ability to handle highly stressful and sensitive situations in a professional manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards
- Help to maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
- Have countless advancement opportunities through our on-going training and expansive
- network of centers and brands
- Follow health and safety procedures for hand washing, toileting, handling bodily fluids,
- sanitizing toys and equipment, administering medication, serving food, dealing with children's illnesses, and supervising children
- Present a welcoming attitude toward prospective families who tour the day care center.
- Engage them in conversation about their child's education, and the features and benefits of our early childhood programs.
