We are looking for a Director of Engineering that has both management and hands on experience through the whole engineering vertical, from software development to QA to Data. You will be leading the engineering department to help deliver high quality software and hardware products. You will oversee the product development life cycle ensuring that our products meet both internal and external needs.
In this role, you must have hands on experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale and have a strong understanding of modern distributed systems. You will need to have experience with one or more programming languages, automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment tools. You will need to make sure that complex systems are delivered efficiently, on time and within budget as well as communicate well with stakeholders and engineering teams effectively.
This is a management role, so you will need to build and mentor teams and support and foster our strong cultural environment.
10+ years of overall experience, with 5-6 years of engineering leadership experience, and experience in:
- Software Development
- SDLC
- Software Development Methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
- Designing and developing distributed systems at scale
- Modern technologies such as Apache Kafka, Spark, Cassandra
- DevOps principles and CI/CD - technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- AWS or any other cloud platform
- Strong understanding of system architecture and design patterns
- Proficiency in one or more programming language, preferably Golang, Python or JavaScript (Node)
- Automated testing and QA process
