As the Senior Director, Talent Acquisition, you will drive all recruiting activity and establish program strategies that align with organizational goals. This role will partner with the business to determine key needs and identify new, effective, strategies for identifying, engaging, and closing the best candidates for disciplines across the enterprise. What you will do on a typical day:

  • Develop and implement a robust talent acquisition strategy for North America
  • Develop the employment brand and marketing strategies to engage candidates and attract talent
  • Create sophisticated and results oriented souring strategies to obtain top talent in the market
  • Act as a strategic partner to leaders across the organization, by providing innovative and progressive hiring practices, policies and processes that champion the Employment Brand, differentiate the company, and provide a competitive advantage in successfully attracting highly skilled employees across the enterprise
  • Manage and lead implementation of strategic talent acquisition programs that align with evolving business strategies and objectives
  • Optimize internal and external recruiting processes, partners, suppliers and recruitment programs utilizing cost-effective channels
  • Build, lead and develop a team of dedicated, passionate recruiting professionals who will source, recruit and close highly talented employees with functional expertise that aligns with the business needs and culture
  • Evaluate, develop, or secure external resources/tools to improve candidate assessment processes and outcomes as needed and required to identify qualified candidates for various positions
  • Ensure effective use of Applicant Tracking System and job boards; evolve these and other tools to meet the growing scale, volume and velocity of the organization’s staffing needs
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in talent acquisition, provide coaching and development programs to the leadership team on best practices in sourcing, interviewing, selection, candidate experience, etc.
  • Partner, influence, and collaborate with business executives and HR on talent
  • Manages 3-4 subordinate manager (s) who supervises a total of 50 employees in Talent Acquisition
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Talent Acquisition and sourcing matters
  • This Job has decision-making responsibilities up to and in accordance with the delegation of authority and will make employment decisions


What you need to succeed at RXO:

At a minimum, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 7 years of experience in talent acquisition or relevant HR role

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or related field
  • Experience in transportation industry
  • Deep understanding of applicant tracking systems with experience in both implementation and integration of staffing solutions
