Summary

Are you an expert in Marketo, results-driven with strong attention to detail, and have a passion for optimizing email marketing efforts? Then join us as our Marketo Marketing Automation Manager! In this hands-on position, you will create, build and deploy email marketing campaigns using Marketo and track and analyze the success of your campaigns. Our ideal candidate is upbeat, highly collaborative, technical, has a bachelor's degree in marketing, and several years of digital marketing or e-commerce experience. You should also be familiar with HTML, SQL, and Salesforce.

The Marketo Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for managing Marketo and fully leveraging its capabilities. Reporting to the VP of Growth Marketing, this role will create, build, and implement all programmatic and operational initiatives through Marketo and work closely with the Operations team, in-house designers, developers, and project managers. The right candidate will have a strong foundation in marketing automation and will be responsible for developing and implementing an email lifecycle marketing strategy, campaigns as well as for outbound SMS platforms.

You will be measured equally on your ability to move fast, implement and QC the right solutions and campaigns to operationalize lead batching processes, develop nurture campaigns, and all lifecycle marketing to convert leads to closed business and ensure a seamless customer journey.

You will take ownership of activities for marketing automation and marketing operations, the hands-on development, management, and execution of email campaigns, email and SMS communication strategy, and measurement. Your time will be spent on creating, building, and optimizing email funnels, developing nurture campaigns, and deployment of email lifecycle campaigns through Marketo. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and improve connected pages and the optimization of the overall user journey.


Responsibilities:

  • Own the marketing automation and funnel integrity and data for the marketing team while implementing best practices and strategies to accelerate the growth of our business including lead management, prospecting, and nurture.
  • Segment lists based on behaviors e.g., past email engagement and website interactions (content downloads, site page visits, etc.).
  • Analyze and create database segmentation and distribution lists for campaigns
  • Develop, manage and execute marketing campaigns, workflows, and triggers using the Marketo platform
  • Develop an email campaign strategy that nurtures and convert prospects into conversations
  • Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
  • Create, implement and execute outbound email programs and bot-automation
  • Measure results and optimize the lead building workflows for these segments to convert leads into customers.
  • Build testing frameworks (A/B, multivariate testing, deliverability, and tracking)
  • Create and implement marketing automation best practice documents including list management, optimization, data quality, hygiene, and troubleshooting
  • Analyze and report campaign results with teams
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
  • Highly proactive, collaborative and works effectively and communicates clearly with teams to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Handles changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Reviews work for accuracy, completeness, and proper authority.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience campaign execution and operations, integrated marketing, and demand generation
  • Required 5+ years’ experience using Marketo (Certification a plus)

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Subject matter expert on email marketing, email campaign management, and SMS campaigns
  • Must have experience with Marketo and funnel strategy development
  • Portfolio of successful automation programs, dashboards, and models
  • Problem-solving ability and consideration of process improvements
  • Disciplined in data analysis and project management

Language Skills

Fluent English language skills – written and spoken. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.

Computer Skills

  • Marketing Automation (Marketo is a must)
  • CRM (Salesforce a plus)
  • Good understanding of HTML (HTML5) and CSS (CSS3) development

    Work Environment

    Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.

    The office work environment can be boisterous. Attire is business casual.

    This position must be located in either California, Idaho, or Texas. Employees located in Boise, ID; Orange County, CA or Dallas, TX are in a hybrid work environment: Scheduled in-office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with the ability to work remotely Thursday/Friday. The hybrid schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the company.

    Travel

    Hardly ever. May be given the opportunity to travel overnight – by car or air – to experience or support various events – sometimes working in excess of eight (8) hours/day.
