Summary
We are looking for an Emergency Preparedness Manager for a leading entertainment company located in Los Angeles, CA to coordinate and direct multiple emergency management committees and teams.
This is a full time, hybrid position. We are looking for someone who could be in office 3 to 4 days a week. The salary for this position will range between $70,000-90,000 based on experience and qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as project lead for emergency preparedness training initiatives.
- General Employee Training: mandatory general emergency preparedness training to be uploaded into the online learning management system (LMS) with optional modules for emergency-specific short trainings such as earthquakes or hurricanes.
- Active Emergency Volunteer Training: four trainings annually, such as lunch and learn activities.
- Emergency Responder Training: coordination of ongoing staff training and refining current curriculum for staff (e.g., guards, nurses, etc.)
- Support the management of the Active Emergency Volunteer group.
- Facilitate the creation of emergency preparedness awareness campaigns.
- Manage the emergency preparedness fair and emergency preparedness activities during September’s Emergency Preparedness Month.
- Align the global emergency preparedness program.
- Conduct audits of emergency response protocols, plans, procedures and resources for the various response teams.
- Manage the emergency storage units, emergency response trailers, and emergency supplies for various client sites.
- Develop, implement and manage a new system for emergency supply inventory management.
- Represent Client’s Emergency Preparedness program and be able to speak to best practices with employees and management fluently and confidently.
- Be prepared to support and/or conduct tabletop exercises for various Client working groups and departments.
- Benchmark with other studios on emergency preparedness programs and initiatives and be prepared to participate in emergency preparedness studio working groups
Minimum Requirements
2-5 years of emergency management/team leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Confident public speaker and trainer
- Available to respond to emergencies as needed (may include nights, weekends and holidays, etc.)
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) preferred
- Certified First-aid/CPR/AED Instructor preferred
- FEMA CERT instructor preferred
