The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking Government & Capital Property Specialist to join the team located in Haleakala, Hawaii with a secondary location of Kihei, Hawaii as there may be work assigned at that location as needed.

The candidate coordinates property management and controls activities to ensure continual accountability of government, associate contractor or company property in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts or corporate policy. The successful candidate will use Microsoft Word and Excel to report test results to meet government, engineering, customer and program requirements.

Candidates will work daytime shift that support operations schedules. Also, you will work part time in our Kihei location and at 10,000 ft. elevation at the Haleakala National Park/ Observatory.

Position Responsibilities:

  • The Govt & Cap Property Spec initiates and maintains property accountability records, determines condition and arranges disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment.

  • Follows directions for routine work with close supervision. Receives detailed instructions for specific assignments.

  • New equipment purchased for operations is delivered and processed by the Govt & Cap Property Spec to acknowledge arrival and account for the item in the receiving system and add it to the property management database.

  • Conducts property audits.

  • Develops, recommends and implements property administration policy and processes.

  • Assists with tracking the movement of property by coordinating, preparing and documenting applicable forms to indicate a change of ownership, accountability or location of property in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts or corporate policy.

  • Interface with engineers, technicians, management, internal/external customers, for direction, collaboration, approval, and identification of solutions to resolve operations related needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • 1+ years of experience managing aspects of Government property such as Acquisition, Receiving, Identification Movement, disposition, contract closeout, subcontractor control, records, utilization and physical inventory.

  • 1+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree

  • Working knowledge of Air Force equipment accountability reporting, material accounting procedures, principals of inventory control, and receipt management of property.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary Pay range: $50,150 - $67,850
