• Operate a Dump Truck, John Deere Skid Steer, John Deere 450 Excavator, Komatsu p60 Excavator, etc.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers
• Obey and follow traffic laws
• Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance with the vehicle
• Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Ensure all mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations
• Report defects, accidents, and violations
• Perform daily maintenance of truck, refueling, cleaning, etc.
• Load and unload box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks
• Interact with customers in a professional manner
• Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspection reports
• Record cargo deliveries and verify loads for accuracy

Requirements:

• 
  Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures used to control heavy equipment
• Coordination to use all the controls on pieces of equipment
• Possess enough strength to operate the controls on heavy equipment
• Ability to remain stationary in the seat or operating area of the equipment for prolonged periods
• Problem solving skills to diagnose issues with equipment
• Strong oral communications skills to interact with other workers on the job site
• Basic writing skills to accurately complete reports and other paperwork
• Good noncommercial driver’s license history to indicate a habit of safe driving
