Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our family practice clinics. We are looking for an MA who has great time and task management skills to assist our large population geriatric patients. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing remote clinical and administrative support to physicians and other healthcare professionals in the clinic, with a specific focus on Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Chronic Care Management (CCM) activities. This position is 100% remote; being able to visit the clinic occasionally is a plus.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with patient exams and procedures
  • Take and document patient vital signs
  • Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
  • Manage patient medical records and charting
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures and answer questions
  • Provide patient education on preventative care and self-management of chronic conditions
  • Conduct RPM and CCM activities, such as monitoring vital signs, medication management, and disease management
  • Use electronic health records (EHR) and other software platforms to document and report RPM and CCM activities
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers and community resources to ensure continuity of care for patients
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • High level of comfort using technology
  • Medical Assistant certification
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a medical office setting
  • Self starter with very strong time management skills
  • Strong clinical and administrative skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Excellent communication and patient service skills
  • Comfortable with using remote-work collaboration tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom etc.
  • Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
