Job Description

Summary/Objective

Performs financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking; analyzes historical and current financial data to understand and enhance Mayroad’s financial condition.

Essential Functions

  • Grows financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends; evaluates historical and current financial data to understand the company’s financial condition
  • Calculates and creates investment models and proformas to determine the financial risk associated with investment decisions and opportunities
  • Studies industry-specific business trends and research data; writes data-backed reports to support the management team in making strategic business decisions
  • Develops financial models that forecast business outcomes and profits
  • Supports SVP of Finance & Accounting in developing the annual corporate budget; supports each division in analyzing and developing their respective budgets, including periodic re-forecasting of expected financial performance
  • Supports the SVP of Finance & Accounting in monitoring and tracking the company’s
  • Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR)
  • Aids in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes
  • Prepares documentation to help Mayroad in obtaining required investment funds
  • Works closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Evaluates financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts; reports on financial performance and prepares for regular leadership reviews
  • Performs market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comparables; conducts comparables analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis
  • Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENT - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of corporate-level business finance or other relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency; proven work experience in a highly quantitative role
  • Strong financial modeling experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel; proficient with other MS Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.); proficient with Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with executive level management
  • Self-starter; able to work independently with minimal supervision and input
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Professional demeanor; able to represent the company at all levels
  • Ability to streamline functions; passion to learn and grow

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a remote home office setting. Must be able to work from home with minimal distractions from outside sources (e.g., family, pets, etc.)

Physical Demands

Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to finger is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges are helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare or inspect documents. No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, and copiers is needed. Management of stress associated with balancing multiple high-priority opportunities, meeting and reporting deadlines, accountability, and accuracy.
