Shipyard Staffing has open and upcoming positions for Firewatch/General Labor in Everett, WA.

Marine Firewatch/General Labor Job Duties:
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN
  • MUST BE DBIDS ELIGIBLE
  • MUST BE LOCAL TO THE AREA
  • Assist welders in Setting up for hot work
  • Assisting all trades in the set and tear down of various projects shipboard
  • General shipyard labor
  • Moving equipment and supplies to multiple locations on the ship
  • Policing area for flammable/combustible material and keeping it safely away from hot work.
  • Cleaning area during cooldown and at end of shift
  • Staying alert and aware for hazardous situations or fires that may occur during the course of hotwork.
  • Other duties as assigned
Marine Firewatch/General Labor Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must pass background and drug screen
  • 1 year of shipyard experience
  • Maritime OSHA 10 (if you don’t have it, we will provide the class at no cost)
  • Firewatch certification (if you don’t have it, we will provide the class at no cost)
  • Respirator fit certification
