Job Description

Responsible for safe loading of outbound Made-up boxes and materials, unloading of incoming materials and the warehousing and inventory management of those materials.

General Responsibilities:

• Responsible for following the site safety rules and actively participates on the site safety committee including weekly safety tailgates and completing training.
• Executes site secured procedures and reports any unsafe condition or security breach immediately to Supervisor.
• Completes daily Forklift Checklist and ensures forklift and other equipment and tools are in good working order. Reports any unsafe condition and required repairs to Make-up Shed Supervisor immediately.
• Safely Unloads incoming trucks from WestRock or other Vendors and places pallets in their designated stores location. Signs BOL and turns all receiving documents into Make-up Shed Supervisor in a timely manner.

• Safely “picks” FGS from inventory and loads field trucks in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure all Yard tickets and BOL are signed by drivers before leaving facility and turned in to Make-up Shed Supervisor in a timely manner.

• Completes daily physical inventory counts as required timely and accurately when requested by Make-up Shed Supervisor.

• Follows FGS “First in First out” best practices.

• Responsible to maintain Good Housekeeping practices for the Warehouse, breakroom and locker/restrooms, etc.

• Executes quality standards and responsible to report any damage to product, equipment or building immediately to Supervisor.

• If RF Scanning is available and being used, complete all inventory scanning system transaction as required timely and accurately. Report any system malfunctions or broke equipment immediately to Make-up Shed Supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary: The main function of a forklift/heavy machine operator is to operate industrial trucks or machinery in a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location. A typical forklift/heavy machine operator is responsible for the operation of heavy machinery to safely move product load around the facility.

Job Responsibilities: Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery. Move controls to drive vehicles and transport materials between loading, processing and storage areas. Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts and hoists, to load, unload, transport and stack material. Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids and boxes and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas. Skills: Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, team player and problem solving skills. Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. Forklift operators� license required.

Physical Requirements: -Must be able to communicate (read, write, speak) English in order to follow instructions and safety guidelines. -Constant use of arms, hands, wrists, fingers, legs, ankles, feet. -Constant bending, squatting, sitting, standing. WestRock does not permit any Contract Employee to operate motor vehicles. 5+ years of experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
