General Summary: Responsible for all duties performed in coordination with the assisting of technicians at job sites

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in investigating issues with systems, assessing actions that can be taken, using the necessary equipment to solve the problem, cleaning up upon completion of the job
• Assists in finding & exposing tanks, checking the system for any problems, attaching hoses to truck, pumping the system, cleaning up hose, putting lids back on tank, and neatly replacing dirt and landscaping
• Assists in conducting post trip inspection, filling out related reports for inspection, & making minor repairs to truck as needed
• Assists in performing routine maintenance on truck, including changing the oil and filters, greasing, and putting new tires on truck
• Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

Working Conditions: An assistant technician is mostly outdoors and deals with all types of weather, including rain, snow, hot temperatures, cold temperatures, and wind chill. Assistant technicians also have to deal with stinging insects, such as bees and wasps, and certain plants, such as thorns, poison ivy, and poison oak.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
