Job Description
General Hotels Corporation is searching for a General Manager to lead our Hampton Inn Vincennes, IN team.
Responsibilities include:
- Leads and manages overall operation of hotel.
- Directs department heads to ensure overall profit, service and team member satisfaction goals are met or exceeded. This includes Brand Standard compliancy.
- Drives & motivates hotel team to create a clean, comfortable, well-maintained hotel.
- Foster a culture aligned with our vision and values.
- Responsible for hiring, termination, and training of all employees.
- Speaks with and responds to guests regarding service challenges.
- Ability to work throughout each department as needed.
- Facilitates a compliant Manager on Duty program 7 days a week.
- Works within department budgets, defining and directing changes as required.
- Prepares revenue and expense forecasts. Directs hotels action required to maximize profitability, increasing service levels and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Oversees the Sales and Marketing activity and results. Leads and/or participates in sales and marketing strategy meetings. Participates in
- Property level accounting to include accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Facilitates hotel projects such as renovations and brand initiatives.
Requirements
- Excellent leadership skills- must be willing to LEAD by example.
- Dedication and commitment to staff as well as hotel guests.
- Must be able to always provide support to staff.
- Willing and able to jump in and help staff when needed and provide coverage of shifts.
- Proven success leading a hotel team.
- Proven ability to lead sales efforts and motivate staff2 prior years of hotel leadership experience
