JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University is accepting applications for a graduate researcher position. The student researcher will be asked to assist in organic/semiconductor polymer and perovskite optoelectronic research.

• The successful applicants will assist in our work to synthesize and fabricate perovskite and organic thin-films in ambient for applications in small and large area devices.
• Data management and computer-based data analysis skills (e.g., Origin Pro, Matlab, or Python) are required.
• Interest and training in materials science, semiconductor materials, and device fabrication and characterization, and eagerness to learn new things is beneficial.
• The ability to work independently is required.
• Strong communication skills are also required to support collaborative work in a group setting.
