American Leather is looking for a passionate team player who brings creative and positive energy to everything we do. This Graphic Designer will be responsible for influencing, reinforcing, and evolving the visual execution of the American Leather brand across business channels and various marketing media.

What you will be doing:

  • Creating visual assets for print and digital: web graphics, emails, social, catalogs, photography, video/motion graphics, packaging.
  • Concept, develop and build a wide variety of creative assets to ensure consistency of branding to support product, marketing, and wholesale objectives.
  • Collaborates closely with multiple cross-functional teams to develop strong creative that meets business objectives. This includes partnering with external agencies and internal marketing, sales, merchandising, HR and operations teams.
  • Experience pitching concepts to stakeholders and ability to thoughtfully explain strategy influencing design decisions.
  • Ability to deliver and develop solutions under strict deadlines with competing priorities.
  • You will maintain a high level of accuracy, consistently reviewing work to accomplish tasks with follow through to completion.

Looking for Candidates that have:

  • Exceptional communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of cross-functional teams.
  • A genuine care about the quality of your work and execution – you are meticulous about file/layer naming conventions, file management, proofing, graphic alignment, fonts, spelling/grammar.
  • Ability to visually communicate action-oriented messages directed at different demographic segments, channel audiences, customer groups, and internal audiences.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and efficiently, as well as the oversight of outsourced vendor functions, including external print, digital and creative resources. You MUST have impeccable follow-through and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Some 'Must-Haves" include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design (or related area of study)
  • 2+ years relevant design experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft
  • Minor travel required – approximately twice per year, to support semi-annual market tradeshow.
  • Must have portfolio
