BASIC FUNCTION:
The Designer is responsible for creating visually engaging and innovative solutions for both digital and print. From conception to completion, the Designer will work closely with project team members to translate marketing and brand strategies into results-driven designs for business-to-business customers and consumers. This is a part-time, hourly position with up to 30 hours per week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive the goals of the Packaging team and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and create branding strategies and marketing materials for all touch points including but not limited to print, web, email, advertising, social media and tradeshows that adhere to brand standards and provide an engaging and consistent tone, look and feel throughout
  • Design engaging digital creative for use across multiple interactive platforms from basic microsites and landing pages to full websites and display ads
  • Responsible for art direction and graphic design, seeing all creative projects through from concept, design, production, completion and delivery
  • Collaborate with team members, outside agencies, and freelancers to ensure designs align with brand standards and the finished product meets or exceeds expectations
  • Interface with printers and various external vendors
  • Participate in photo shoots, art direction, and content creation.
  • Develop and adhere to a design strategy (including budgets and timelines) based on the project brief, creative criteria, expected performance and success metrics, and reviews creative concepts against the strategy
  • Curate campaigns that span across multiple digital and print mediums
  • Project management and graphic file organization
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  • Knowledge of best practices for overall design, including usability and industry standards
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects while keeping abreast of new technology solutions and design trends to maintain the highest standard of work
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project, Teams and Outlook
  • Familiar with social media design and specs across various platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Arts and Media or a related field
  • 3+ years of graphic design experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Exceptional design, branding, typography and photo retouching skills
  • Creative mind with a decisive eye for detail
  • High energy, confidence, and passion for the job
  • Must be able to independently take projects from concept to finish. Deadline-oriented, flexible, and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to articulate design choices clearly
  • The candidate should be culturally savvy and have a pulse on current trends
  • Relevant and up-to-date online portfolio
