AAY Security LLC is hiring for a Non-Commissioned Maritime Security Officer


In this role you will observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. You will enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to access and exit of client personnel, visitors, and vehicles. You will enforce access control to client site or facility through the admittance process and procedures. You may be called upon to protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations. You may respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents. You will prepare logs and reports as required. Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately. You might not be required to perform all functions listed above, and/or may be assigned additional duties, and functions may be modified, according to client needs.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas Security License
  • Valid/Unrestricted U.S. Driver’s License (with at least 2 years clean driving record)
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Two - three years of security experience within the past five years*

  • Preference given for security experience in MTSA regulated and/or large industrial facilities.

In addition to the above requirements, you must:

  • Be able to pass ISTC/Safety Council, First Aid/CPR/AED, and relevant MTSA training and,
  • Be able to satisfactorily complete a background screening, to include drug & alcohol, criminal, etc.

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent standing, and walking, which may be required for lengthy periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving 50+ pounds.
