WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
The Healthcare Director Product Manager is responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle for the healthcare (health systems, hospitals, prehospital, transport, sub-acute facilities, healthcare providers, healthcare professional schools and post-graduate training programs) market products including leading go-to-market activities for initial product introduction, evaluating product performance and managing the product roadmap. Current programs include BLS, ALS, PALS, Sedation, EMR and Focused Updates.
Working with the VP Product Management, the Director leads the entire product management process ultimately delivering high-quality programs in line with market needs. Establishes, directs, and coordinates essential product activities necessary to meet or exceed goals for a specific product, product line, or product area. This includes but is not limited to working with the product management, customer service, service delivery, sales, chief medical officer and marketing teams along with external partners to establish goals and evaluate performance against those goals.
Develops and maintains relationships with liaisons and key market professional organizations, regulatory associations and accrediting bodies and leading healthcare providers and institutions to establish product requirements; create comprehensive product business requirements; work with product development to identify product development resources needs to meet product requirements; and managing the go-to-market activities with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product requirements – including quality and delivery timing – are met.
The Healthcare Director Product Manager is responsible for understanding market dynamics, technology, and industry best practices as inputs to creating industry-leading programs and services.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
  • Responsible for defining the healthcare business requirements for all Healthcare courses. This included terminal competencies the program is targeting, target market, and value proposition.
  • Manage P&L for assigned programs responsible for tracking financial performance of products and identifying market opportunities.
  • Develops product positioning and value proposition and works with marketing and sales leadership on marketing and sales strategy, campaign execution, and sales training
  • Leads all go-to-market activities for new resuscitation programs into the hospital market
  • Works with Marketing to develop cross-functional and cross-organizational teams (internal to Red Cross and with external distribution partners) through all training program commercialization activities
  • Performs market research
  • Ensures discipline specific continuing education credits for programs and needed regulatory and accrediting agency approvals and recognition
  • Coordinates in partnership with liaisons on memberships and/or participation in relevant professional organizations, accrediting and regulatory bodies, associations and healthcare projects/activities.
  • Maintains productive and supportive relationships with regulatory/accrediting entities and key healthcare entities (e.g. healthcare systems, prehospital providers, etc…).
  • Responsible for creation and management of product strategy including managing the product roadmap by incorporating customer feedback and competitive intelligence
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required. Registered Nurse/Nurse required.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Management Experience: N/A
  • Healthcare educational experience. Experience overseeing educational programs and/or instructors preferred.
  • 10-15 years of experience in product management or equivalent experience.
  • Direct experience overseeing healthcare products or services into the healthcare market a requirement.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and motivate teams under tight deadlines. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing financial models to understand the drivers of the business.
  • Ability to travel 30-50%.

The salary range for this position is: $115,000 - $130,000
