Job Description

The Home 2 Suites Baton Rouge is currently hiring for a full time House Person. This position entails maintaining the cleanliness of the public space of the hotel, to include cleaning the public restrooms, sweeping and mopping the lobby, cleaning windows and mirrors throughout the hotel, cleaning elevators and elevator door tracks, cleaning the pool area and fitness center, vacuuming the corridors and stairwells, emptying waste receptacles throughout the hotel, deep cleaning public space areas and other special projects as needed.

The position requires applicant to be on their feet for at least six hours, but up to eight hours at a time.

Applicants with previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred, but not required. Applicants should be energetic, hardworking, extremely detail-oriented, and must be able to work together in a team and take direction, as well as take initiative to address issues as they see them without direction.

Applicants must also be reliable, and dependable, and be able to ensure they are present for their scheduled shifts without fail.

Masks and gloves are provided upon request and social distancing measures are in place.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Baton Rouge, LA 70809: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)
• Hotel Housekeepers: 1 year (Preferred)
