Job Description

Our company is looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant for our Human Resources department to perform various administrative and clerical tasks. The duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees and assisting with daily office needs. This position is ideal for a new graduate or someone looking to gain more hands-on experience within the HR field. This is a hybrid role and our ideal candidate must live within driving distance to our office in Burnsville, MN.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting new hire orientation to new team members on-site in MN and virtually in VA
  • Ensure background checks and electronic forms are completed for all new employees
  • Ensure all new employee documents are saved appropriately
  • Provide onboarding feedback and updates
  • Coordinate and assist with equipment return
  • Handle Welcome Emails & ensure attachments are up to date
  • Send out the New hire Roster
  • Complete I-9 Forms, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files
  • Conduct office introductions and welcome tour
  • Create employee badges and assist in maintaining badge system
  • Create and maintain employee files and record keeping
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Team
  • Maintain employee personnel files, this includes filing & organizing documents
  • Supply management
  • Possibly assist in recruiting efforts in Q4
  • Assist in the coordination of Stauer’s Newsletter
  • Responsible for the incoming mail, distribution to appropriate party and taking action as needed
  • Assists in audits of employee files and external audits as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee information
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Associate degree and/or HR experience strongly preferred
  • 2 years in a similar Human Resources Assistant role or 2 years of experience as a general office administrative assistant.
  • Experience in an HRIS preferred
