The Role


The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

What You’ll do

  • Coordinates recruitment and selection activities (e.g. processing applications, updating recruitment activity spreadsheets, and coordinating the scheduling of interviews, liaising with hiring managers and recruitment agencies regarding vacancies)
  • Maintains electronic HR and benefit files. Enrolls employees in benefits through the HRIS, process enrollment changes, create new employee HR and benefit file folders, files employment and benefit documents, archives terminated employee files, along with other related daily processing.
  • Prepares and processes employee HRIS transactions such as new hires, terminations, promotions and other job changes
  • Coordinates the employee service anniversary awards and staff meetings on a monthly basis
  • Serves as a backup to HR Manager for the processing of bi-weekly payroll
  • Partners with building security to assign badges to employees working in the physical office
  • Responds to general employee inquiries including employment verifications and reference checks
  • Assists the HR Manager with employee orientation
  • Assists the HR Manager with planning and administering employee relations activities and programs

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced, and at times, stressful environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


Primary Location: Los Angeles, CA

Primary Location Compensation Range: $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
