The Human Resources Department at the University of Indianapolis invites you to join our team of passion-driven HR professionals, committed to ensuring an outstanding place to work for all Greyhounds. The Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides assistance to the HR team and customer service to University employees. The HR Administrative Assistant supports many administrative processes within the Human Resources department, including but not limited to personnel filing, employment verification, coordinating internal meetings and events, managing office needs, and using the University's HRIS and spreadsheets to access and update information.

Responsibilities- Administrative Assistant HR

  • Greet and assist departmental visitors and callers in a consistently invitational and professional manner
  • Handle daily office tasks – routing mail, ordering supplies, scheduling meetings and conference room, filing, update campus directory
  • Manage key requests in conjunction with Facilities
  • Manage all HR documentation according to record retention policy; manage the HR storeroom and oversee document destruction process as dictated by policy
  • Draft and send campus communications, including condolence messages, new employee notifications, promotion notifications, etc.
  • Oversee employee recognition programs managed by Human Resources
  • Supports necessary processes within the University’s HRIS system,

Qualifications- Administrative Assistant HR

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Office experience or Human Resources experience is necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Application and Google Suite
  • Experience working in a HRIS or similar database environment is helpful
  • Certificate or associate degree in related field preferred
