Duties

  • Works with HR Specialists in the HRO to accomplish a wide range of human resources transactions, for technicians related to recruitment, placement, classification, employee and labor relations, benefits, entitlements,training and incentive awards.
  • Provides information to managers and supervisors regarding issues of ARNG technician occupations and the effects of specific regulations or instructions on anticipated human resources actions.
  • Provides assistance and information pertaining to employee relations and labor relations matters to managers, supervisors, union officials and technicians on moderately complex problems of employee conduct or reorganizations, leave problems, indebtedness, union contracts, agreements and the full range of procedural requirements for filing grievances, appeals, and complaints.
  • Reviews, indexes, and files guidance and reference material such as correspondence, requisitions, message forms, human resources regulations, instructions, manpower reports and records, utilizing appropriate code and file systems and cross-referencing when required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-07 grade level your resume must include relevant experience/education with beginning and ending dates reflecting the following:

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-06) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as performing a wide variety of routine administrative and clerical support activities in support of human resources personnel functions such as: employee benefits, recruitment and placement, explain processes and procedures, and answer inquiries pertaining to Human Resources programs and operations.

OR

One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.

OR

A combination of education and specialized experience totaling 100 percent computed by dividing total months of experience by 12, then dividing the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18 and adding the two percentages together. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.

Only experience/education gained by closing date of this position will be considered.

Education

Foreign education: Your transcripts must have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in evaluating foreign credentials in order to be acceptable.
