Location Information

Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person's own home or in one of our four Twin Cities communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, and Woodbury.

Rooted in history, Saint Therese of New Hope is our largest community. This care center has 168 skilled nursing beds for long-term and transitional care. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 225 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care.

Responsibilities

The Human Resource Generalist will provide day to day developmental and administrative human resource support and employee relations (to interpret and administer human resource policies and procedures in a fair, equitable and efficient manner). Will also provide oversight and coordination in the areas of administrative human resource systems and employee relation services campus wide as well as key assigned functional areas. Will conduct onboarding sessions for new employees. Will ensure that Human Resource policies, benefits and other relevant information are clearly and fully explained. Will ensure that all new hire paperwork is properly completed and submitted for payroll or H.R. processing in a timely manner. Will ensure Company compliance with existing legal employment requirements both individually and through communication and training of department and location managers. Will work closely with managers and supervisors to address and resolve employee relation concerns in a timely, consistent, and responsive manner. Will assist management in resolving employee complaints and assist with steps of constructive discipline and disciplinary issues. Must be an active member of the Safety Committee along with other company committees.

Special knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Proficient and knowledgeable in multiple human resource disciplines including compensation and benefits practices, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, federal and state employment laws, training and development.
  • Strong communication skills, including listening, writing, presenting, facilitating, coaching, and leading.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to work effectively with all departments and senior management.
  • Excellent MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local rules and regulations.
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
