We’re hiring a Commercial Driver’s License Instructor for Fleet Force as a Full-time worker in Bradenton, FL.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone with experience as a CDL Driver as well as an effective teacher. CDL Instructors for FleetForce will be proficient in a variety of effect, professional teaching methods that will result in creating successful student performance in a classroom environment, on a skills course, and behind the wheel local driving using an approved curriculum.
Fleet Force is rapidly growing, we are excited to bring on instructors who want to grow with us and develop new CDL Drivers to be safe, dependable, and proficient. As an instructor, you would be working directly with our students as you instill them with the knowledge and guidance to earn their CDL.
CDL Instructors will be instructing and training students on the following objectives:

• Vehicle Pre-trip Inspections
• Basic control skills (backing into specifically designed areas)
• Uncoupling and coupling of the tractor/trailer
• Basic shifting techniques (to include double clutching)
• Train the students to safely operate a commercial vehicle on rural and city roadways
• Prepare and file student records pertaining to training activities, testing results, and performance evaluations
• Perform all other related duties as requested by the Lead Instructor and/or School Director

CDL Instructor Education, Experience, and Credential Requirements:

• MUST Possess a valid Florida Class A CDL with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience. A current DOT Medical card (or the ability to obtain one).
• MUST be able to pass a pre-employment Drug/Alcohol test. MUST have a clean driving history.
• MUST have the ability to effectively communicate in English.
• MUST have the ability to efficiently complete tasks in a timely manner and by deadlines.
• MUST have the ability to work productively as a team and independently. Most of the training time is spent outdoors.

• MUST be able to endure Florida’s hot summer temperatures while standing on a paved surface for long periods of time.

Fleet Force is working to create a culture of effective instruction that instills students with all the knowledge and skills they need to succeed as a CDL Driver. Fleet Force is operational 7 days/week. Weekend work will be required depending on workload. The wage for this position is $20-21 per hour.
