ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The Intake Triager is responsible for triaging calls into the pharmacy, answering intake inquiries, and
triaging incoming faxes to the Intake Department. The incumbent will report to the Intake Supervisor.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Answer calls/triage caller and or transfer to correct department
  • RX Transfers (prescription transfers out to other pharmacies)
  • Data Entry
  • Create new patient profile
  • Complete patient demographic/order tabs
  • Assign related medication referral information
  • Assign to Intake Coordinator to process
  • Answer Intake department emails/inquires
  • Request/Follow up on missing clinical documents needed to complete Intake referral process
  • Create/Edit New Physician profiles, verify contact information, obtain NPI #
  • Triage - Ameripharma Incoming Fax
  • Review each fax, assign to the current patient profile, and notify all related departments
    needed
  • Manage/Update/Edit - Intake New Referral Excel
  • Intake back up support whenever needed


SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent customer service skill
  • Solid communication skills
  • Office Experience
  • Microsoft office proficiency


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


High School Diploma or equivalency


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION


Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred
