EXL Health is looking for a Data Analyst Intern. This is a remote opportunity.

Responsibility
  • Contribute to scalable and flexible, high-quality code that satisfies both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Develop, deploy, test and maintain technical assets in a highly secure and integrated enterprise computing environment & Support functional testing
  • Analyze and translate business requirements to technical design with security and data protection settings.
  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
  • Manage expectation regarding road blocks, proactively, in the critical path to help ensure successful delivery of the solution
  • Comprehend the fundamental solution being developed/deployed – its business value, blueprint, how it fits with the overall architecture, risks, and more.
  • Collaborates on solution and design effort to build scalable features /functionality.
  • Provides development and analytical support for SQL Server databases, SSIS packages, and SQL stored procedures
  • Ability to analyze design, code, test, and deploy simple to intermediate level Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 solutions using T-SQL and SSIS with assistance
  • Collaborates on database and SSIS designs & solutions
  • Related work activities and responsibilities including the following: data analysis, develop coding solutions using SQL stored procedures SSIS for loading databases, data migration, and application interfaces
  • Ability to convert EXL business requirements to logical data mapping.
  • Ability to work in high paced production environment
  • Ability to adhere to EXL standard process for data quality and data security for protecting PHI information.
  • Ability to program in Python to read and process raw data files, data mapping and data cleansing
Technical Skills
  • Working Knowledge of SQL /Running SQL queries to validate data
  • Working Knowledge on Enterprise modeling tool and data integration platform – (SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS))
  • Data Analysis Tools – (Online analytical processing (OLAP), ETL frameworks) & ETL DataLoad
  • SQL Server 2008 & above : Basic SQL , T-SQL, Stored procedures, functions
  • Enterprise business intelligence platform (Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Knowledge of BI Tools, Advanced Microsoft office (work, excel, project, visio)
  • Expertise in Python scripting & Automation.
Education Requirements
  • Currently seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related fields.
  • Prefer some experience in Data Modeling, Data Integration, Reporting & Analytics, Reference Data, ETL & BI Tools, Data Quality concepts, Data Governance & Security
