Rapidly-growing cosmetics and beauty aid distributor is seeking a detail-oriented person for temp-to-hire opportunity in Warehouse Operations as a Inventory Control lead.

Purpose: The Inventory Control Lead execute and collaboration with production planning and inventory control. Coordinates day to day warehouse, production. Inventory, and shipping and Receiving activities, processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders for stock, packaging, and shipping orders, or managing organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.


Responsibilities:

  • Enhance inventory control systems and procedures using established technologies and best practices to effectively implement inventory planning.
  • Responsible for receiving material and perform visual inspections of received products.
  • Manages inventory control tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
  • Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to upper management.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packaging boxes; placing orders in delivery area. (Pallet’s building may be required)
  • Participate in internal/external assessments and audits as required.
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request recording amounts of materials or items received or disturbed through a computer. Also Assist in counting in physical inventory.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine audit reports of inbound merchandize and finished goods to meet established standards.
  • Receive and inspect returned merchandize.


Skill Requirements: * High School Diploma * Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Inventory Control in manufacturing industry * Strong attention to detail * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel * Basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication * Experience using SAGE inventory- Data Inventory data into computers. Understanding of Receiving shipments *Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred * Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and/or overtime as needed.

Essential Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for short distances. Perform frequent repetitive finger, hand, and wrist motions, standing for long periods of time, as well as bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pulling, and pushing. Able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain). Work Setting Indoors, Environmentally Control
