Job Description


We are working with a client who is in need of a Jr. Project Manager with DevOps experience. This contractor will help in contributing and enhancing the DevOps environment throughout the organization. The Jr. Project Manager will also be responsible for managing DevOps projects in an agile environment.

Project Length: 6 Months plus

Compensation Range: Dependent upon years of experience, education, and relevant certifications.

Location: Hybrid; some travel to King of Prussia, PA

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage project schedules and activities, track project spending, and ensure all project tasks are documented appropriately and completed on time.
  • Work with DevOps Business Stakeholders and IT to gain an understanding of goals and outcomes
  • Assists in the preparation of program meeting materials and presentations.
  • Analyzes processes, identifies potential risks within the projects, proactively manages issues and resolves problems, and makes recommendations for optimizing resources and ensuring task completion.
  • Monitors and summarizes progress of projects and manages project planning and status meetings.
  • Compiles and provides timely, concise project status, issue, and spending reports for management.
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects and builds consensus among multiple functional leads relative to project scope, task execution, staffing, and issue resolution.
  • Performs additional assignments and projects as directed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or Project Manager within a PMO in an Agile environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience in DevOps is required.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to identify and manage priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be persuasive and assertive.
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Visio, Project, & PowerPoint; must have excellent Excel skills.
  • Ability to see the big picture and the importance of this role in the team.
  • Familiar with standard project management concepts, practices, and procedures
