Who We Are Looking For

As a WebPT Junior Billing Specialist you’ll be responsible for successfully filing, collecting, and resubmitting claims via electronic claim submission. What You’ll Be Doing As A Part of Our Team

  • Receive and transfer incoming calls to appropriate parties.
  • Review, prepare, and submit electronic claims.
  • Mail organization including sorting, delivering, and stamping.
  • Print and deliver daily HCFA forms.
  • Process monthly statements including printing, folding, stamping, and delivering to the post office for bulk mail.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues associated with escalated or problematic accounts.
  • Identify and resolve exclusion trends, and follow up and resubmit claims when necessary.
  • Ensure first pass acceptance (FPA) and educate the team on any issues affecting FPA metrics.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance, adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Retrieve notes, RX’s, and EOB’s from clinics using electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Process secondary claims by printing HCFA and attaching primary EOB and sending to insurance companies.
  • Reliable and punctual in reporting for work and taking designated breaks.

What You Should Have to Qualify

  • Have knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT codes as well as insurance guidelines, especially Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, suggest areas of improvement.
  • Be organized, ahead of schedule, communicative, and accountable.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Partner and foster working relationships with colleagues, members and vendors as applicable.
  • Be energetic, possess integrity and a positive attitude, and have a hunger for knowledge and a passion for sharing it.
  • One year of experience in medical billing or fast paced administration role.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Ideally, You Would Also Have These

  • Have experience with a variety of medical billing software.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
  • Prior working knowledge of ICD 9 (bonus points for ICD 10) and CPT codes as well as insurance guidelines, especially Medicare and Medicaid.
