Job Description
As part of Workforce Management, you will support Walt Disney World as one source/point of integration for each Operations General Manager about all labor tasks. You will communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization about weekly scheduling processes and new projects. You will integrate information, processes, and best practices across operating areas to create efficiencies. You will report to the Manager, Labor & Cast Experience and lead a team of hourly, non-union and Union Cast Members.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and support a positive environment; encouraging Cast engagement, professional growth and inclusion.
- Oversee weekly schedule production for 1.5K - 3.5K Cast Members using designated scheduling applications observing labor agreements, contract requirements, state, and federal laws.
- Ensure application of scheduling standards to ensure workload fit, evaluating availability in comparison to demand, to resolve staffing overages/shortages
- Work within multiple complex technology environments including, but not limited to multiple site/LOB specific labor systems (GEMS/EISS/Aspect/BlueYonder/Clever, MyTime, Cast Mobile, CDS, Bid Management System, Rotational Scheduling), and HR systems (SAP/WorkDay)
- Establish teams, conduct one-on-ones, create team alignment, and provide opportunities to develop individuals through mentorship
- Interpret scorecard/dashboard information to provide insight of both the details and comprehensive impact to the site
- Consult with Operations Leaders and Executives on workload, processes and workflow, ideation, and best fit solution recommendations
- Lead with a process improvement approach to optimize connection points, process, and product
- Analyze call-out trends and provide recommendations to Operations to strategically plan for variable Cast developments and reduce Operational impacts
- Analyze workload demand and current Cast Member availability to provide strategic hiring availability recommendations when opening additional Casting requisitions
- Proactively review changing attendance, location hours, and offerings, adapt labor coverage accordingly, and communicate to impacted Leadership
- Lead schedule and vacation bid creation and facilitation for supported client areas
- Partner with Operations, Workload, and Finance partners to evaluate and impact labor dollars and budgets
- Support global Transitional Duty process through partnership with Operations in identifying accommodated work for Cast Members
- Partnership with Labor Relations to understand and efficiently operationalize labor aspects of multiple collective bargaining agreements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within a leadership role with direct reports.
- 6 months of experience with workforce management experience or related field.
- Capability to share communication across teams to ensure everyone understands updates, priorities and escalation process.
- Aptness to find opportunities for improvement, incorporate new practices and promoting change.
- Proficiency to initiate work streams, relying on experience to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
- Prioritizing and leading projects and deadlines amidst constant change.
- Proficiency with Excel using formulas and tables and crafting PowerPoint Presentations.
- Availability to work any day of the week including weekends and occasional nights. Also being flexible to a rotating on call availability.
