FILE CLERK – MIDTOWN MANHATTAN
A nationally recognized boutique law firm is actively seeking a File Clerk for the Midtown Manhattan office. The ideal candidate is a team player who possesses a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Schedule: 9:00am – 5:00pm (Monday–Friday full-time in office)
Salary: $45-48k + OT and Bonus eligible
Administrative Responsibilities
· Open new case files
· Create new file dividers with labels
· Maintain the order of documents placed in files
· Close cases and prepare to send offsite
· Send files to/retrieve from Iron Mountain storage
· Enter notice of Entries, Complaints, Affidavits of Service, Answers, and Releases into the system
· Update contact and calendar information for cases via Time Matters
· Distribute and scan incoming mail
· Maintain file room and stock supplies
· Drop off items at Post Office or FedEx at end of the day
Office Services Team Coverage
· Assist with Reception desk and phone coverage during lunch breaks and absences
· Handle intake for potential clients and forward to attorneys
· Open, sort and distribute all incoming mail
· Prepare FedExes and arrange messengers
· Printing, scanning, copying, and other clerical duties as needed
· Maintain kitchen and stock supplies
· Assist with projects and trials upon request
· Court runs for filing and submitting documents
Qualifications:
· Ability to excel in a team atmosphere
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Capacity to prioritize daily tasks
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
