What you need to know: - Home Care or Hospice experience is not required - If a candidate doesn't have Home Care or Hospice experience, they must have 1+ years of MedSurg experience - Minimum 1+ years of overall nursing experience in a related field to be considered for this position - Will not hire new grads/new nurses with less than 12months of experience - Extensive 2-4 weeks of orientation - Monday - Friday schedule - 5-7 home visits per day - Must have a car, a NY issued drivers license, and proper auto insurance - Hourly pay range from $35-$37 - Parking and other expenses necessary will be reimbursed Responsibilities: Responsible for providing high quality nursing care and personal care to patients under the direction of the registered professional nurse consistent with Agency philosophy, policy, goals and objectives, and Standards of Nursing Practice. Provides nursing care to patients in any of the three Hospice service areas: Hospice Home Care, Hospice Residence and Hospice Crisis Care.
