THE POSITION

Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking a mail room clerk for our Garden City office. We're looking for hardworking, dedicated people to work in a busy office supporting the mail room and kitchen/office supplies. Candidates should be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and hardworking. In this role you will pick up the mail from the post office each morning, scan all mail received, help with document production, mail processing, running errands, and various office services responsibilities as needed.

DUTIES

  • Picking up mail daily from post office
  • Scanning all mail received
  • Document printing/production
  • Processing and preparing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Upkeep of office kitchen and conference room
  • Data entry
  • Correspondence with vendors
  • Maintain supply inventory
  • Run errands, deliver documents
  • Reception coverage as needed

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong organizational and clerical skills
  • Strong computer skills and understanding digital processes
  • Familiarity with the postal system.
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Tenacity to be able to work efficiently under strict deadlines
  • The ability to lift heavy items and transport and/or guide up to 50 pounds of material on a cart
  • Flexible, adaptable, and accountable

COMPENSATION

Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with experience. We also offer a full benefits package, including medical/dental/vision, and 401k with match. We have monthly Happy Hours and host quarterly team building events.
